FIELD OF APPLICATION
Aluminum sulfate is diluted to color Hydrangea flowers blue by lowering the pH and adding aluminum ions.
WHY SHOULD I USE ALUMINUM SULFATE
Aluminium is needed in the dye delphidin to turn flowers blue instead of pink. It also lowers the pH, which facilitates the uptake of aluminium by the plant.

Aluminum sulfate granules.
RECOMMENDATION
Dosage for Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla):
1% solution watered out with at least XX liters per square meter. Check that the pH value is at 4.0-4.5.
We recommend a water analysis of minerals to check that the nutrient solution contains the correct amount of plant nutrients. It is also important to analyze recirculated nutrient solutions to be able to adjust both plant nutrition and alkalinity before the nutrient solution goes back to the crop again.
