Description of the project

DESCRIPTION
Liquid magnesium nitrate, dissolved in water. Intended for use in nutrient solutions and for foliar fertilization. Free from sodium, chloride and other harmful substances.

FIELD OF APPLICATION
Magnesium nitrate is used in nutrient solutions for both irrigation and foliar fertilization to supply the plant nutrients magnesium and nitrate nitrogen.

WHY SHOULD I USE MAGNESIUM NITRATE
Magnesium nitrate contains magnesium and nitrate, because nitrate is easily absorbed, it also facilitates the uptake of magnesium in the plant.

Magnesium is important for photosynthesis because the chlorophyll molecule contains magnesium. It is also used in enzymes, in protein synthesis and in cell walls. Magnesium competes with the uptake of calcium and should therefore not be supplied in excessive amounts, especially to plant species susceptible to physiogenic diseases caused by calcium deficiency. Examples include pistil rot in tomatoes, leaf scorch in lettuce and spotted wilt in apples.

Nitrogen is the plant nutrient most needed by the plant, as it is incorporated into DNA, chlorophyll and all the amino acids needed by the plant for protein synthesis and enzymes that have many functions in the plant.

RECOMMENDATION
The standard dose of Liquid Magnesium Nitrate is 0.5 liters of magnesium nitrate/1000 liters of nutrient solution, or 40-50 liters of magnesium nitrate/1000 liters of stock solution, at a dilution of 1:100.
We recommend a water analysis of minerals to check that the nutrient solution contains the correct amount of plant nutrients. It is also important to analyze recirculated nutrient solutions to be able to adjust both plant nutrition and alkalinity before the nutrient solution goes back to the crop again.

For foliar fertilization use 3-5 l/ha in 200-400 l water. Pay attention to the risk of burns.
We recommend plant sap analysis to determine the need for which plant nutrients need to be applied as foliar fertilization. The analysis can be repeated at the earliest two weeks after treatment to assess whether the treatment needs to be repeated.
