LMI is specialized in crop analysis and plant nutrition. We analyze soil, plants and water and these analyses then help you choose the right nutrients so you get a good nutrient balance. A healthy plant gives a plentiful harvest, so the balance between different plant nutrients is important. Not only for the plant to grow well, but also for it to be healthy and resistant to diseases and pests.
We can also provide you with the plant nutrients you need. We represent, among other things, the fertilizer company Haifa, which is a major player active throughout the world. They are specialists in horticulture and have adapted plant nutrients for these cultures, which you will also find with us.
We have our own production of liquid fertilizers, well adapted for several different crops and we also have the opportunity to adapt the plant nutrient content to your own needs and wishes.

Important!
In order to provide you with the best possible service for the analyses you wish to have carried out, it is essential that you enclose a correctly completed delivery note.
It is also important that the sample labeling is consistent between the sample and the delivery note.
Analytical response
- Spurway analysis (on soil) and plant sap, response the day after sample arrival at LMI (submission 8.00 - 16.00)
- Water samples arriving by 09.30, same day response, otherwise next day response.
- If the above samples come from a 3rd country, the response time is normally 3 days.
- Water samples for bacterial analysis - Submission by 13.30 on weekdays (except day before red day, when we do not accept bacterial samples). We do not accept samples for bacterial analysis by post.
- On the sieve curve / clay content, we have a normal response time of about 15 days, but it may vary slightly depending on the laboratory's load.
- For other analyses, we have a normal response time of about 10 working days, but this may vary slightly depending on the laboratory's workload.

On the day before Red Day, the test center closes at 13:00 and the company closes at 14:30.
We are also closed between Christmas and the Epiphany.
During this time we are not able to take care of your samples.

This is how we started
LMI was founded by Lennart Månsson in 1948. With the aim of helping professional growers with the control of pests and plant diseases.
In contacts with growers, questions about plant nutrition often came up. Plant nutrition quickly became more interesting than plant protection and a laboratory was set up in the early 1950s.
In the 1980s, liquid plant nutrients began to be produced on a smaller scale, but these became so popular that a factory was built in 2001.
